What is THVA?

The Monocular Hunting Video Awards have been created to celebrate the hunting community and the storytelling surrounding hunting. We want to recognise all the wonderful stories and aspects from hunting, give back to the hunting community and help showcase their passion.

How does it work?

THVA has three video awards and one community honour award.
To participate in one or all four video awards simply press the submit button, choose your category, upload your video or clip and fill out your details.
A jury of experienced hunters and filmmakers will decide who the finalists are and we will open up for public vote in the category Hunting clip and Hunting video. The video with the most votes in each category will win and be announced at the award show.
The winner of The Professional Hunting Video will be decided solely by the jury and will not be up for a public vote.
To nominate a hunter to The Community Honour Award simply press the submit button, choose Community Honour Award and fill out the form and of course nominate the hunter you think should win the honour.

Who can enter?

THVA is open to hunters from all over the world as well as both amateur and professional filmmakers.

How many films or clips can I submit?

You can submit as many videos or clips as you like to each category.
A video or clip may be entered into multiple categories if appropriate. Videos entered into multiple categories will be reviewed separately for each category entered.
THVA reserves the rights to extract clips from the Hunting Video or Professional Hunting Video entries and also enter them into the Hunting Clip category.

Does films/videos/clips have to be from 2022 in order to enter the Awards 2022?

Yes. All videos and clips for The Monocular Hunting Video Awards 2022 must have been edited in 2022. The actual footage may have been recorded before 2022 as long as it has been edited in 2022.
